About tourQ
tourQ is building the data layer for live music. We give artists, managers, and venues the tools to plan smarter tours — the right rooms, the right markets, the right nights.
We're a small, senior team obsessed with the live experience. Every feature we ship helps a show sell more tickets, a venue fill more calendar dates, and an artist grow the audience that actually shows up.
About the Role
We're hiring a data engineer to own the pipelines that power tourQ's market intelligence — from raw streaming, ticketing, and social signals to the routing recommendations artists see in product.
What You'll Do
Build the touring data warehouse
Design and operate ELT pipelines that bring ticketing, streaming, and venue data into a single, reliable source of truth.
Model markets and audiences
Translate raw signals into the metrics product and partnerships use every day.
Productionize models
Work with engineering to surface insight directly inside the product, not in a dashboard nobody opens.
What We're Looking For
- •5+ years in data engineering or analytics engineering
- •Strong SQL and Python; comfort with modern warehouses (BigQuery, Snowflake, or DuckDB)
- •Experience with dbt, Airflow/Dagster, or similar orchestration
- •A bias toward shipping insight, not just infrastructure
Bonus Points
- •Experience with geo data, routing, or audience modeling
- •Background in music, media, or entertainment data
Why This Matters
The data you wire up becomes the foundation every artist, agent, and venue trusts to make six-figure routing decisions.
